Mr. Jonathan Serbin
Co-director
Mr. Serbin has represented some of the world’s most-recognised music brands in their Asia expansion. He was most recently Co-President of Warner Music Asia and CEO of Greater China of Warner Music, overseeing eleven countries / territories across the region. He was formerly Head of Asia for Billboard and is now co-founder of Mammoth Media Asia which is partnering with iHeartMedia to develop world-class, original podcast content in Asia. He has also served as a music-sector lawyer, investment banker and entrepreneur.
Prof. Rujing Stacy Huang
Co-director
Professor Huang received her PhD in ethnomusicology from Harvard University and is currently Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Hong Kong. She works at the intersections of musicology, critical AI studies and philosophy. She is a co-director of the AI Song Contest, an annual international songwriting competition exploring human-AI partnership much covered by mainstream media worldwide. She is a founding co-editor of Music and Data (UC Press), a thematic journal examining emerging technologies' impact on global music cultures.
Prof. Daniel Chua
Chief Advisor
Professor Daniel KL Chua earned his PhD in musicology from Cambridge University and is currently the Chair Professor of music at the University of Hong Kong. Before joining HKU, he was the Director of Studies at St John’s College, Cambridge, and later Professor of Music Theory and Analysis at King’s College London.
Dr. Li Meng de Bakker

Dr. Li Meng de Bakker has a PhD in musicology from the University of Hong Kong where she now serves as an Assistant Lecturer. She is a professional DJ / producer who has performed internationally and released tracks on independent labels across Asia and Europe. A contributor and columnist for Mixmag Asia, she is also a co-founder of a Hong Kong-based label and event series.
